MRSB Group began in 1978, growing over the decades into one of Prince Edward Island’s most trusted professional service firms. In 1999, the firm expanded its vision with the launch of MRSB Consulting Services, establishing a dedicated consulting division to support clients through business planning, strategic planning, sector development, governance renewal, community engagement, and other key areas.

  • Senior Consultant Tim Curley

    Tim Curley, BA

    CEO, PRINCIPAL, AND SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Tim became CEO and Senior Consultant at MRSB Consulting Services in 2024 after a decade with a leading government software provider. He brings extensive expertise in client relations, business development, and project management. Skilled in leading complex procurements and projects, he designs and executes innovative, effective methodologies. Tim’s knowledge spans IT — including eHealth and eBusiness — as well as tourism, education, utilities, transportation, finance, and non-profits. Known for strong interpersonal skills, he manages complex projects productively and is passionate about building lasting client relationships.

    Wendy Drake, BBA, MBA

    PRINCIPAL AND SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Wendy joined MRSB Consulting Services in 2002 and became Principal in 2006. With expertise in strategic leadership, governance, facilitation, and planning, Wendy is passionate about partnering with clients to achieve their desired results. She has worked with businesses, industry associations, not-for-profits, First Nation and Indigenous communities, and municipal, provincial, and governments across Atlantic Canada and Ontario. Wendy’s work with clients is grounded in strong critical assessment, effective engagement, and strategic development. Her work consistently reflects her extensive financial understanding, keen eye for detail, and dedication to client success. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick.

  • Senior Consultant Chris Matters

    Chris Matters, BA

    PRINCIPAL AND SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Chris Matters joined MRSB Consulting after working for 17 years in the private industry. He held senior management roles relating to operations, technical, and business development in food and consumer products manufacturing. Throughout this experience, Chris travelled extensively in Europe and North America, developing an extensive network of international contacts crossing multiple industries. Chris' expertise is focused on problem-solving and removing inefficiencies while generating new concepts to improve clients' overall success and profitability.   • Senior Consultant Sarah Lavers

    Sarah Lavers, BBA

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2015 and has since gained valuable work and learning experiences – across Ontario and Atlantic Canada - to develop her consulting career. Sarah is passionate about engaging with project stakeholders and brings creativity and energy to each engagement. She leads and supports the execution of many projects, including business planning, research and analysis, program design, due diligence, organizational growth, operational change management, and sustainability planning.

  • Senior Consultant Lorraine MacKinnon

    Lorraine MacKinnon, MBA, BSc, P.Ag

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Lorraine holds a Master of Business Administration, Food & Agribusiness Management from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Dalhousie University. Additionally, she earned a certificate in Indigenous Studies from the University of Alberta and has completed project management, leadership courses to further her professional development. With over 20 years of experience in the agricultural industry, Lorraine has collaborated with and advised senior government officials to develop strategies, conduct market research, evaluate funding proposals, and negotiate business agreements.

    Alex MacBain, CFA, BSc, MFin

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Alex has held senior finance roles in environments ranging from local startup businesses to publicly traded corporations. Alex brings expertise in cross-functional collaboration, budget development, operational planning, and the implementation of financial controls. In his role at MRSB, Alex specializes in financial assessment, conducting comparative analyses, monitoring market, economic, and social trends, developing comprehensive strategies, and exploring funding opportunities. His niche skillset includes expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling, corporate finance, business strategy, and financial reporting.

  • Consultant Melissa McDonald

    Melissa McDonald, BBA

    CONSULTANT

    Melissa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Diploma in Paralegal Studies from Eastern College. Her professional background is built from experience working in marketing, human resources, and corporate law roles for prominent Atlantic Canadian companies. Melissa engages in projects that help build capacity of communities and social organizations by conducting reviews, assessing impacts, and guiding change to advance priorities. She takes a strategic, diligent, and meticulous approach in completing research and consultations that inform insightful deliverables.

  • Consultant Adam Cousins

    Adam Cousins, CPA, BBA

    SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST AND CONSULTANT

    Adam joined MRSB in 2023 after working at an international public accounting firm for four years. He earned his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2023 and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick in 2019. Adam has practical financial and analytical experience and works with clients to create realistic and evidence-based reports, plans, and projections. Adam also supports MRSB’s Valuation Services with business transactions, tax and succession planning, and litigation support. Adam has experience working with private, non-profit, and publicly-traded organizations of all sizes and scale.

  • Proposal Writer Jason MacGregor

    Jason MacGregor, CD, MA, BA

    CREATIVE WRITER & PROPOSAL DEVELOPER

    Jason holds a Master in International Journalism from City, University of London, and a Bachelor in International Development Studies with a Minor in Journalism from the University of King’s College in Halifax. His professional experience includes working in external and internal communications, editing, publishing, and stewardship at the University of Oxford, and conducting research and interviews at the CBC’s London bureau. As Creative Writer & Proposal Developer, Jason’s role involves developing comprehensive proposals for a diverse collection of clients.

  • Research Associate Lindsay Follwell

    Lindsay Follwell, BSc, BA

    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

    Lindsay received her Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2018 and has worked in a variety of client focused roles in both the bioscience and marketing industries before joining the MRSB Consulting team. In her role as Research Associate, Lindsay applies her project management and coordination skills to support the team with research, writing, editing, and quality control for a wide range of engagements. Lindsay is dedicated to providing top-quality service and her detailed approach ensures MRSB services exceed clients’ expectations.

    Brenna Boudreau, BA

    Brenna received her Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2017. She applies her creativity and critical thinking skills in supporting the team with research, writing, editing, and quality control for a wide range of engagements. Brenna provides top-quality services for government departments and agencies, educational institutions, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, private sector entities, and others. She uses here extensive experience gained in the non-profit and arts sectors to contribute to our clients’ success in their organizations and communities.

    Habiba joined MRSB Consulting in 2024. She applies her project management and coordination abilities to assist the team with research, drafting, editing, and quality assurance across a wide range of arrangements. Habiba received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2023. Habiba works closely with Wendy Drake on MRSB Consulting’s many strategic planning arrangements for government departments, educational institutions, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, and others. Her dedication ensures that MRSB services exceed client expectations.

    PROJECT ASSISTANT

    Liam joined the MRSB Consulting team as a Co-op student in 2024 and has since transitioned to a permanent role upon his graduation in 2025. Liam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship from the University of Prince Edward Island. In his role as a Project Assistant, Liam assists the consulting team by leveraging his research, writing, design, and quality assurance skills. Liam employs a data-driven approach in many aspects of his work and enjoys finding insights within both quantitative and qualitative data. Liam appreciates working with clients of all types from a wide range of sectors.

    Andrea joined MRSB in 2023 and is a dedicated administrative professional with a proven track record of reliability, accuracy, and quality. She excels in problem-solving and time-management, and has a meticulous attention to detail proven through her effective quality control on MRSB deliverables. Andrea has a strong administrative background with experience in tasks such as accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciliation, and seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders. Andrea contributes to client engagements by providing support with scheduling, billings, design, and quality control.
